THAMESPEX RULES & REGULATIONS
1. The exhibition will be divided into nine competitive classifications:
(1) United States
(2) Foreign
(3) Postal History
(4) Air Mail
(5) Topical/Thematic
(6) First Day Covers
(7) Display Class
(8) Special Studies
(9) Junior Exhibit
(10) Single Frame
2. Each competitive exhibit shall be the property of the exhibitor, and be the exhibitor's own work.
3. The exhibitor's name shall not appear on the face of any page, except on displayed covers.
4. Exhibits will be displayed in 3'x4' frames, each holding 16 pages (4 rows of 4) of 8 1/2"x11" pages.
5. An exhibit must consist of at least one frame, but not more than 10 frames.
6. Each page of an exhibit must be inserted into a transparent protective sheet and shall be numbered consecutively on the back of each page to indicate the order in which the pages are to be mounted. NOTE: Oversize pages will count as multiple pages, and must fit into the frames.
7. Closing date for entries is 30 September 2002, or whenever the frames are filled - whichever comes first. Sixty 16-page frames are available. Late entries will be considered on a space-available basis.
8. Failure to present an exhibit after entry has been accepted forfeits the entry fee paid, but advance postage, etc., will be refunded upon request.
9. A copy of the cover page is required with each entry, as well as a title and description (<25 words) for each exhibit received. This description will be used in the programs, and as an aid to the judges. A more extensive synopsis with references may be submitted optionally, as a preview for the judges. It will be provided to them before the show.
10. Exhibits will be mounted and dismounted by the Exhibition Committee unless other arrangements are made. Owners desiring to do their own mounting may do so between 0800 and 1000 on 27 October 2002. The show will close at 4 PM. No exhibits may be removed before that time, and then only after visitors have left the hall.
11. Any exhibits mailed to the show should arrive between 18-23 October, and be sent Registered or Express Mail. Exhibits must be forwarded PREPAID with RETURN POSTAGE, and complete instructions in writing, provided by the owner. {Filled out postal forms appreciated]. Mail Entry Forms and Exhibits to:
12. All care and precautions will be taken to protect the exhibits. Neither the Thames Stamp Club, nor any of its officers, or members shall be liable for damage to, or loss of any exhibit material arising from any cause. Exhibitors are encouraged to carry the APS Insurance Plan.
13. A panel of 3 judges with experience will do the judging; one or more will be APS Accredited.
14. The frame fee is $4.00 per 16-page frame (juniors 18 and younger are free). The single frame exhibit fee is $7. Non-competitive exhibits are $2. Please make remittance to the Thames Stamp Club.
15. Submission of an entry form shall constitute acceptance of the above rules and regulations.
