Contract Air Mail Route No. 6 Detroit - Cleveland February 15, 1926 Inaugural Contractor: Ford Motor Company Inc. Information from AAMC - Fifth Edition - Volume Two - 1977

CAM-6W3 Cleveland to Detroit - as listed in AAMC. Black first flight cachet dated on flight date Feb 15 1926. This cachet is also knwon used in Cleveland in magenta ink (see below). Detroit 6 P.M. arrival cachet on reverse.

Combination FDC of C7 stamp and CAM-6 first flight Cancelled at Dearborn on date of issue of stamp Feb 13 1926 and then the stamp was cancelled with the Detroit dispatch cachet to Cleveland. Cleveland backstamp dated Feb 15, 1926 - 2:30 P.M.

Another combination of FDC of C7 and CAM-6 first flight Stamp is cancelled with Detroit machine cancel and has 10 A.M. Detroit dispatch cachet to Cleveland. No orther marking of reverse.

CAM-6W3c First day cover of C7 stamp cancelled by magenta first flight cachet dated Feb 13 1926 two days before flight took place. Flown Cleveland to Detroit on 15 Feb 1926 as instructed by manuscript superscription "AIR MAIL / VIA DETROIT". Detroit 6 P.M. arrival cachet on reverse.
