At the Edges of Confusion aka '1926 combination mail' - Page 15

CAM-2 combination cover with lots of features posted on last day of confusion rates.
This piece makes it clear that there's a serious overlap
- between the 'domestic rates' section of the AAMC and confusion.

Cover serviced by P.F. Robertson, APSA member #25.
[Aero Philatelic Society of America was
early name of American Air Mail Society.]

Dispatched by P.F. Robertson from AMF Elko to Peoria on Jan 31 1927.
Through air mail, Elko-Peoria, required two zones on Transcontinental and CAM-2, Chicago-Peoria
[20¢ franking for two zones and one route].
Day of posting Jan 31 1927, was last day of combination rates [RC-14].
AMF Elko postmarks usually seen on CAM-5 inaugural mail; other uses appear to be quite scarce;
AMF Elko postmark [EKO 1] identified as being in use 1924-1927; this cover is a late usage
15¢ map stamp was used on last day of 'proper usage;' 10¢ per 1/2 oz rate on 1 Feb 1926 obsoleted it.
