This confusion piece brings another colored circle into the color diagram -
a few confusion items intersect with the 'mixed franking' domain.

The homework hasn't been done and a description of this piece
- the reverse is littered with postmarks -
is not being offered at this time.

It's a sort of place holder -
for the intersection between confusion mail and air mail sent overseas by steamer.

Stand by for further comments, but don't hold your breath.
Finding out exactly what may have happened to this cover
- and pinning down the post office rules for domestic air mail going overseas by steamer -
is likely to take a little time.
